Wood Care
The finishing
All our woods are meticulously treated with a premium nitrocellulose (NC) coating, renowned for its exceptional durability and timeless aesthetic appeal.
This high-quality wood finish is derived from nitrocellulose, a resin obtained from plant fibers, ensuring an eco-friendly and robust solution. By applying the NC coating, we create a protective layer that not only safeguards the wood against daily wear and tear but also enhances its natural beauty, bringing out the rich textures and grains that make each piece unique.
Dos & Don'ts
Things to know...
While all of our wood is expertly sanded and finished to the highest standards, there are a few important details you should know.
How to clean?
For cleaning wood, use a mild dish soap diluted with water to avoid damaging the finish while removing dirt. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
Key points:
- Mild soap: Use liquid dish soap for handwashing, not dishwasher detergent.
- Dilute with water: Mix a small amount of soap with warm water.
- Soft cloth: Apply with a soft, damp cloth and wipe gently.
- Dry thoroughly: Always dry with a clean, dry cloth.
AVOIDS: Alcohol, Ammonia, Harsh Soap and water
About scratches...
To prevent scratches, avoid using hard or sharp objects on the table. For office desks, we recommend using a mouse pad in the main work area.
If your desktop accumulates scratches over time, don’t worry – we offer refinishing services for an additional fee.
About heat resistance...
Avoid placing hot objects directly on the table to protect the coating. For dining tables, use a coaster to shield the surface from hot dishes.
